Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using MyFood (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MyFood is a meal planning, nutrition tracking, and grocery management application. The Service allows you to create and save recipes, generate weekly meal plans, track your nutrition intake, and manage grocery lists.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

The Service may offer paid subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable subscription fees through our payment provider (Base44 Payments).
  • Allow recurring billing until you cancel your subscription.
  • Understand that fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Cancel your subscription at any time through the app's Settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Understand that a free trial, if offered, is limited to one per user.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service without permission.
  • Share your account credentials with others.

7. User Content

You retain ownership of any recipes, meal plans, and other content you create ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, store, and display it as needed to provide the Service to you.

8. Nutrition and Health Information Disclaimer

The Service provides nutritional information, meal suggestions, and tracking tools for general informational purposes only. The Service is not a substitute for professional medical or nutritional advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary changes, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are taking medication. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any nutritional data provided.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and software, is owned by MyFood and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyFood shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
